The best deal on the island.

The Pilot's Retreat is an annual membership for anyone who has the flexibility to be able to get to the Bahamas on short notice.  I am a pilot myself, so I know that many people with this hobby are adventurous, spontaneous, and handy. This club was constructed with this type of person in mind, but is by no means limited to pilots. 

How it works: Members will have access to the rental calendar and may claim a home up to two weeks before their departure date.  The member will have access to the 24 foot Sailfish cutty cabin boat or the 21 foot hydrasport center console as well as three golf carts.  In addition to the use of Grandview and Seaside, a boat and golf carts, members will have the opportunity to reserve a 3 bedroom apartment located under each home at any time.  These apartments do not interfere with Grandview or Seaside and members are required to help guests of the homes in any way that they can.  The Pilot's Retreat plays a large part in the hospitality that we want to show towards guests, because someone who is familiar with the home is more likely to be there to assist a guest in person. These apartments have small rooms and are not as luxurious as the homes themselves, but my family has come to love them because they are practically always available and allow us to be on the island that we love, even if the houses are rented. 

The Pilot's Retreat was an idea that I had to make sure my golf carts, boats, and devices around the houses were used frequently, to ensure that I would receive some income annually to pay for the homes regardless of rentals and to encourage families similar to my own to experience Guana and become friends.  It has been successful at accomplishing all of these things.  Many families have been members from the beginning, others have used the Pilot's Retreat as a stepping stone to "try out" the island and then buy a home of their own.
